OPEN RECREATIONAL SKATING
Family skating takes place on Sundays from 4-6pm. It will begin November
22, 2009 and end February 28, 2010.
Membership is required. Family Memberships are offered for $60
and Individual Memberships are offered for $40.
Open to Members for recreational
skating. No hockey sticks or pucks are permitted. This is another
opportunity for beginning skaters to practice. Helmets are required for all children. Members will be able
to bring a limited number of Guests on Sundays for a $5 per person
charge.
Depending on the number of skaters at Family Skating sessions, the
Club could impose restrictions or a reservation system during the
season either to ensure adequate open ice, to reduce neighborhood
traffic volume, or to stay within Rivers' parking capacity.
Weston Recreation also plans to offer ice for various skating and
hockey activities during the public school vacation weeks in December
and February. Such programs will be available to Members and non-members
for a separate fee as they are separate from the Club's Membership
benefits. Members will be notified of these programs as they are
organized later this fall.
To be eligible for Family Skating, Weston residents and Town employees
must join the Club. Either download the Membership PDF and mail
it to or drop it off at Weston Recreation offices. Forms are also
available at Weston Recreation.
